The temp is about 25F / -3C today. But the sun, although low on the horizon this time of year, is shing bright and the sky is clear. It's calling for cold, crisp temps the next few days.

Saving the old vinyl...

Bought one of those 'cheap' USB turntables to rip all my old records. Changed the cartridge to the reliable Shure V15 Type IV...

Doesn't sound too bad, and don't have to worry about ground loop and hum... It will only take time... :P

Burning the midnight oil...

Got a new hard drive to capture image snapshots from all the Macs. This is the MacBook Pro, running SuperDuper to create the image on the Firewire drive. I've got full bootable clones for all the Macs, but this is just for archival purposes...

Tomorrow is the day; Leopard is on a FedEx bird winging its way to Alaska... It will be here on the 26th and I will be ready.

The same, but different...

Wow, I forgot about this space. Guess it was just a proof-of-concept and once it worked, I never came back. That was in 2005, when the Razr was the phone flavor of the day. That was then, and this is now...

Anyway, I stumbled on an old bookmark, and had to "reinitialize" or register, or something. But the two old posts were still there; imagine that!

Guess you really do have to be careful... They say stuff on the Internet is forever.
